Ara is a sculptural lighting collection born from a formal investigation into movement, volume, and material lightness. Composed of layered, undulating sheets of high-performance paper, each fixture showcases a bold, curvilinear and sophisticated language.

Designed as a modular family, the collection is conceived for flat-pack delivery, allowing users to configure and assemble the pieces with flexibility—transforming static material into kinetic form. Each piece is constructed from over 150 sheets of fire-resistant, water-repellent architectural paper, ranging from 200 to 5,000 linear feet, meticulously crafted in collaboration with a heritage paper manufacturer in Vanves, France.

Ara subtly references the kinetic art movement and nods to the vibrant cultural exchange between France and the United States during the late 1960s and ’70s—an era that redefined the boundaries of art, design, and motion.
