Commissioned by NII in Japan, Connexa presents a skeleton-like frame that contributes to this table system’s organic impression while supporting the translucent glass tabletops with its points. Despite the simple structure, multiples of the table can be combined and expanded limitlessly with the selection of four different glass tops and five types of frames. Its unique presence transforms a space whether used as a standalone piece or in a connected series. While evoking the shapes of nature, plants, and living creatures, its subtle appearance invites people to open their minds and engage in conversation.
Connexa is a playful and poetic approach to gather around a table for sharing ideas. The levitating structure ignites the power of conversations, as its graphic and organic shape evokes both nature’s forms and the human skeleton, while presenting itself as crisscross components that enable the full system to be extended. The clear top, a lake when independent, a river when connected, is visibly splashed by the structural supports in the shape of dots that recall blooming water lilies. All poetry to enable human connections and fluidity in residential, hospitality and workplace fields.
