Memorabilia is a trio of hand-tufted wool rugs that transform architectural memory into tactile composition. Commissioned by Tai Pin Carpets, the collection explores the emotional aspect of travelling through a refined design language of overlapping geometries and surface treatment.
Each rug is composed of layered architectural abstractions, evocative of midcentury modern buildings, urban parks, and public spaces encountered across continents. These silhouettes are then reinterpreted through carefully calibrated pile heights, subtle shifts in color, and intricate craftsmanship, creating a multidimensional landscape underfoot.
The result is not a literal recollection, but a poetic hybrid: a memory reconstructed through design. In Memorabilia, nostalgia becomes form, and personal narrative is transformed into a universal object—inviting users to inhabit the intersection of place, time, and material.
